Pastor Rick

Pastor

The Rev. Rick Ohsiek

Pastor Rick began his call with St. Paul on January 1, 2013 after having served most recently as pastor of Reformation Lutheran Church (Greeneville, TN) for almost eleven years. Prior to that, he served as the associate pastor at Christus Victor Lutheran (Ocean Springs, MS) for three years. Pastor Rick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Belhaven University (Jackson,MS) and a Master of Divinity from Trinity Lutheran Seminary (Columbus, OH).

 

He has served on staff for many synod youth events including AFFIRM (for almost 20 years), Lutheran Happening of the South (Spiritual Director), and SESLYO (adult advisor). Within the ELCA and synod, Pastor Rick has served on Synod Council, the Church Planting
Commission, the Lutheranch Campaign Leadership Team, as a voting member to the ELCA Churchwide Assembly (2003, 2007, 2009), and currently serves as dean of the Knoxville area Lutheran clergy. Additionally, he has served on the board for Interfaith Hospitality Network, the Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity and as a volunteer for the Boys and Girls Club.

Pastor Rick and his wife Jody, a nurse manager at East TN Children’s Hospital, are the proud
parents of twin boys Drew and Noah. He is most proud of the warm and accepting atmosphere at St. Paul. “We are all family here.
Most people in our church are not originally from this area, but they find a home and a second family when they come here.”

Dee Robertson

Office Administrator

Dee Robertson

Dee recently moved to Maryville from Tavares, FL. She comes to St. Paul with over 20 years of experience as an office coordinator and executive assistant. Dee has served in various churches as a Sunday School teacher, VBS teacher and choir member.

 

She has volunteered for many community service groups such as Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity, Central Florida Pregnancy Center and Lake Cares Food pantry in Mount Dora, FL. She enjoys crafting, hiking, fishing, traveling and finding unique flea markets.

She is married to Jim Robertson and they have 6 children and seven grandchildren.

Marsha Wynn

Volunteer Choir Director

Marsha Wynn

I was born and raised in a small farming community in Colfax, Wisconsin, baptized at 2 weeks old, and confirmed at 13.  I have been a member of a Lutheran church all my life. In 1990 I moved to Maryville and joined St. Paul. 

In 1991, I took over the choir director position, and started directing the hand bell choir in 2014.  I have assisted in Vacation Bible School, Hand Chimes, Youth Choir, Worship Planning, Education Committee, and Sunday School Opening.  I have always had a passion for music, through guitar, singing, and other instruments. 

 

I have 2 boys, Cory (Angela), Chris (Teena), 7 grandchildren, Meredith, Rachel, Alyssa, Hannah, Nathan, Jackson, and Olivia. 

Chase Hatmaker

Pianist/ Organist

Chase Hatmaker

Chase Hatmaker graduated from Maryville College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. He has been St. Paul’s pianist/organist since 2012, accompanying the choir and playing for worship services and various events. Chase maintains an active private lesson studio, and he plays for freelance performances across East Tennessee.
